TTEC milestones set launchpad to CX job creation in India

Office building in Mumbai

Milestones. First time up and steady on a two-wheeler. Driver’s license. First job. First house. Each of these firsts is cause for celebration — to pause and reflect upon the journey. Could it have been faster, smoother, easier?

Milestones invite us to bask in success but they also whisper: “Imagine what’s next.” Milestones aren’t finish lines; they’re launchpads for the next adventure.

TTEC, a global CX technology and services innovator, marks the one-year anniversary of two key facilities in this country, where it’s added 800 positions in the past year with plans for more growth in 2025. TTEC has about 3,500 employees in India today, including its sites in Ahmedabad and Chennai.

While the year-old facilities located in Mumbai and Hyderabad are new, TTEC’s presence in India and commitment to the region is not. For the past 24 years, the company operated in Ahmedabad as a trusted partner to global clients, providing a wide array of services from trust and safety/fraud management to content moderation to back-office support and more.

Mumbai Customer Experience Center

The diverse and skilled workforce at TTEC’s new Customer Experience Center meets the growing demand for innovative customer service solutions with voice and back-office capabilities across healthcare, banking, financial services, insurance, and tech support.

Our talented, multilingual workforce is well-positioned to deliver innovative CX solutions, making India an essential and important hub for meeting the evolving needs of our global clients. We’re proud of our team here and remain poised to lead in this AI-enabled CX ecosystem.

Hyderabad Digital Innovation Studio

The other year-old site, located in Hyderabad, is home to the TTEC Digital Innovation Studio, where cutting-edge, digital solutions integrate AI, automation, and analytics to optimize the customer journey. The center is also a hub for digital transformation services that create customized solutions to improve clients’ CX and operational efficiency.

“Our Innovation Studio is a testament to the incredible talent and creativity of our team in India,” said Amol Gupta, TTEC Digital India leader and group vice president of global delivery. “Their technical expertise and innovative spirit allow us to deliver on any platform, in a globally integrated, value-optimized way that helps our clients stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market.”

Building strong communities

Both new facilities reflect TTEC’s dedication to creating meaningful job opportunities, nurturing diverse, local talent and fostering innovation in India’s ever-changing CX landscape. The company provides career advancement opportunities for professionals in areas such as customer service, digital innovation, and IT, all while contributing to the local economies.

TTEC’s India sites proudly give back to their communities. The Ahmedabad Customer Experience Center has held an annual Wellness Walk for the past 22 years and has raised an estimated $1.8 million for local charities. TTEC is certified as a Great Place to Work® in India and for the second year in a row, HR Asia has recognized TTEC as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia.

Diversity: India’s strength

With more than 100 languages, 700 tribal groups, and every major religion represented in its population of 1.4 billion, India is among the most diverse countries in the world. It’s only appropriate that TTEC’s workforce here would reflect and embrace that diversity: The company’s highly skilled workforce is 32% female, 82% hold academic degrees, and 21% are engineers.
